Ushers, Greeters, and Acolytes Ushers facilitate the divine service in multiple ways, from posting the hymns on the board to passing out bulletins to collecting the offerings.  Greeters stand at the door of the Lord's house to welcome members and guests alike with the love and care of Christ.  Our acolytes assist the pastor by lighting and extinguishing the altar candles and assisting the pastor at the altar. "Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked." Psalm 84:10
